History:

The Occupational Therapy Department came into existence in June 1955, in a small room. Miss K.V. Merchant was looking after the Physiotherapy department as well, until the appointment of a Physiotherapist in 1956. Although the department was started to provide patient services, it grew into clinical and teaching centre to include post graduation in 1978 and under graduation in 1990. The department also has an Occupational Therapy Aide. The total area now being used is 4400 square feet, with further plans for expansion, in specialised areas.
